Governmental & Military Affairs Committee

The Governmental & Military Affairs committee meets the first Thursday of January, April, July, September, and October at Noon at the Chamber office.

 

Mission Statement: The mission of the Governmental & Military Committee of the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce is to establish and foster a positive relationship amongst local businesses, the government, and the military community.

Objectives:

-Enhance local, state, military and civilian relationships.
-Engage and advocate for mutually beneficial issues regarding the business, military and government communities.
-The engagement, communication, and recommendation of policy regarding military and business policies or stature. 
-Create partnership between local organizations and agencies.
-Foster relations between the military and local citizens. 
-Engage and advocate on behalf of Chamber members to local and state governments.

- LPC Alumni Foundation’s Salute to the Season

This committee was the driving force in the fundraising efforts for the Veteran's Memorial that is in the Veterans' Cemetery in West Waynesville. To learn more about the cemetery click here.
